So if you know anyone looking for a good accountant I would thoroughly recommend John Stott.
My employment status within my firm has recently been amended to that of a non-salaried solicitor taking over the running of the Wills, Probate and Trusts Department within the firm.
As such, I no longer receive a set salary but receive a proportion of the costs billed by my department, and therefore being classed as self employed for tax purposes.
Apart from completing tax returns on estates, I did not have the first idea about what steps I needed to take in my new self employed status and the whole prospect grew increasingly daunting the more self employed people I talked to.
