Since joining Nordens in 2007, I've had the privilege of earning multiple industry awards and becoming fully qualified. What I discovered is that my greatest passion lies in helping people — making a real, lasting impact on their businesses and, ultimately, their lives. That's why, at Nordens, we Just Care — we go beyond surface-level advice to truly understand our clients, their challenges, and their aspirations. As the head of our advisory arm, I've helped build a team of exceptional advisors who believe in Building Connections — creating genuine relationships with our clients based on trust, collaboration, and shared goals. Since joining Nordens in 2010 as a trainee accountant, I have been privileged to develop my expertise within our fantastic training framework and I'm so proud of my progress since qualifying in 2013. Highlights of my career to date have been winning the British Accountancy Award: 'Practitioner of the Year 2015,' becoming a partner in 2016 and then becoming Director of Accounts and Cloud. I love to help clients achieve their dreams and smash their goals. At Nordens, we go above and beyond to make sure they are set up in the most tax-efficient way and my team provides friendly, understandable, and meaningful advice.
Lorraine Curtis
Director & Head of Audit
I head up the audit department, working with a range of clients in various sections and locations around the world. We work with Charities, Solicitors, TMOs, FCA regulated companies and a variety of UK Limited companies ranging from voluntary audits to subsidiaries of listed companies to large groups with subsidiaries in various locations. My role within Nordens as a firm is an important one due to the auditing department requiring a lot of responsibility as a main service in our repertoire.

I'm Director of Operations here at Nordens. Having joined the firm in 2010 I've been lucky enough to witness the growth of our business through working in a number of positions at the firm as part of the Payroll, VAT, Accounts and Strategic Advisory departments which provided me with key experiences across finance and business. It's my responsibility to oversee the internal systems and processes that keep the business running at the top of its game. This also involves making sure that my fellow directors and members of the Executive Board are accountable for the targets that we set them. Outside of work I enjoy cooking, spending time with my dog Layla, as well as my family and friends, and playing Padel.

Nordens have been an integral part of our business Darklight Art Ltd for a number of years. We really value their personal approach to working with us. As a business run by two creatives, there are a few gaps in our expertise and Nordens manage to assist with all of it in a very clear and concise way. Having worked with many accountants in the past, Nordens were the first not to be patronising or dismissive and really take the time to understand our company and how we wanted to grow. They explain everything very clearly and are always at the end of the phone if we need them with each department [VAT, book keeping, business planning etc.] giving us specialist advise. As a small ambitious company in it's early years, we really wouldn't be where we are without them.

Our business has been using Nordens services for a number of years. They offer a comprehensive range of accounts services, they are professional and efficient.
Sadly, the owner of our business passed away suddenly last October and Nordens advised us on how to keep the business accounts running smoothly during a difficult few months whilst transitioning the business to a new owner.
All the staff we dealt with at Nordens are knowledgeable and helpful, but Kirsty Willis went above and beyond for us, nothing was too much trouble and she was always on hand to advise and help.
I cannot praise Kirsty and Nordens services highly enough.

We moved to Nordens 2 months ago and we are delighted with the service. We are going some big changes company and they have held our hand the whole way. The team are so helpful and knowledgable. A special mention for Mitch who heads the company- always accessible and is there if you have a question or need support - no issue is too small or too silly to ask. Then Hayley on the payroll is so responsive , kind and efficient and I feel totally confident she is managing my staff payments. Hollie in accounts is so on it. I feel at ease that she is supporting and heading our book-keeping. Finally Maria is so a wealth of information in all intricate business matters including VAT.
